The Mission of the LCU Fund for Women’s Education
The LCU Fund has been helping women to obtain safe and affordable housing in New York City, one of the most expensive housing markets in the world, since 1858. Since launching its housing grant program in 2001, the LCU Fund awarded over $9 million to 35 educational institutions, alleviating housing costs for nearly 1,900 women struggling to live and learn in New York City. Upon earning their college degrees, LCU Fund women scholars have found meaningful employment in their chosen fields, and are making a difference in the lives of others.
The LCU Fund for Women’s Education is a private, secular, non-profit organization with more than 150 years of providing housing support for women pursuing their education.
